Why I Built This ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದೆ

I was cheated by a broker who promised to get my eKhata done quickly. He took a heavy advance, gave confident updates for a few weeks, then slowly went quiet. Months passed. My calls went unanswered. The money was gone. The eKhata was nowhere.

ನನ್ನ ಇ-ಖಾತ ತ್ವರಿತವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದ ದಲ್ಲಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮೋಸ ಹೋದೆ. ಅವನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮುಂಗಡ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ, ಕೆಲವು ವಾರ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸದ ಅಪ್‌ಡೇಟ್ ನೀಡಿ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಮೌನವಾದ. ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳು ಕಳೆದವು. ಕರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಣ ಮುಳುಗಿತ್ತು. ಇ-ಖಾತ ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

The frustration, the helplessness, the feeling of having been taken advantage of — I wouldn't wish it on anyone. But what made it worse was discovering the truth later: the entire process is online, free, and takes under an hour. There was never any need for a broker in the first place.

ಆ ಹತಾಶೆ, ಅಸಹಾಯಕತೆ, ಮೋಸಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದ ಭಾವನೆ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಬರಬಾರದು. ಆದರೆ ನಂತರ ತಿಳಿದ ಸತ್ಯ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಕಾಡಿತು: ಇಡೀ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ, ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ, ಒಂದು ಗಂಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಬಹುದಿತ್ತು. ದಲ್ಲಾಳಿಯ ಅಗತ್ಯವೇ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

I learnt the process myself — navigating the GBA portal screen by screen, making a few mistakes, correcting them, and eventually downloading my eKhata without any outside help and without paying a rupee in unofficial fees.

GBA ಪೋರ್ಟಲ್‌ನ ಪ್ರತಿ ಸ್ಕ್ರೀನ್ ನೋಡಿ, ಕೆಲವು ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿ, ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಹೊರಗಿನ ಸಹಾಯ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅನಧಿಕೃತ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಕೊಡದೆ ಇ-ಖಾತ ಡೌನ್‌ಲೋಡ್ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

So I built this guide. It is free. It will always be free. My only goal is to make sure no one else wastes money on a broker for something they can easily do themselves.
